Close Quarter Control Level I Instructor Certification:
Course description
This three day (24 hour) course picks up where traditional defensive tactics programs leave off! The focus of the course is on preparing for the “worst case scenario” involving a violently resistive subject who attacks the officer without warning. This course will prepare attendees to teach core survival skills to members of their respective departments.
Course objective
To provide student officers with the tactical knowledge and skills to safely and effectively control violently resistive subjects at close range and to prepare them to teach these skills to other officers.
Close Quarter Control Level II Instructor Certification
Course description
This two day (16 hour) course covers the follwoing: escapes from common holds, fighting from inferior positions, ,multiple suspect tactics, two officer arrest tactics, patrol rifle retention, long gun disarmament
Course objective
To provide student officers with the tactical knowledge and skills to safely and effectively control violently resistive subjects at close range and to prepare them to teach these skills to other officers.
Entry Team Close Quarter Control
Course description
This three day (24-hour) course addresses the fact that although tactical operators enter a structure prepared to use deadly force, they are far more likely to encounter unarmed resistance, requiring them to de-escalate their level of force. This dilemma can lead to team members being distracted, hindering the teams ability to efficiently clear unsecured areas.
Course objective
This course will provide the trainee with the necessary tactical knowledge and skills to safely and effectively control aggressive or resistant unarmed subjects during team entry. The course consists of hands-on/practical skills for in-service officers assigned to an Entry Team.
Patrol Rifle
Course description
This 2 ½ day (20-hour) course covers weapon handling, defensive tactics, live fire drills, cleaning and maintenance, perimeter responsibilities, movement and tactical entry clearing considerations, threat assessment and target acquisition, and dim light shooting.
Course objective
This course will provide the trainee with the necessary tactical knowledge and skills to safely and effectively deploy the patrol rifle. The course consists of hands-on/practical skills for in-service officers.
Building Searches
Course description
This 8-hour course focuses and slow/deliberate searching techniques for the patrol officer including maximizing cover/concealment, limited room penetration, room entry tactics, weapon handling, use of illumination, communication, and subject control.
Course objective To provide student officers with the tactical knowledge and skills to safely search a structure and control occupants using slow and deliberate search methods.
