WARTAC Police and Military Training

Entry Team Close Quarter Control (CQC)

SESSION SUMMARY:
Tactical operators enter a structure prepared to use deadly force, if necessary. However, entry teams are much more likely to encounter unarmed resistance, which presents a number of problems, including: preventing team movement, distracting team members, endangering the safety of the operators, hindering the teams ability to clear unsecured areas, which might contain armed suspects. The WARTAC CQC course will provide the entry team member with the necessary tactical knowledge and skills to safely and effectively control aggressive or resistant unarmed subjects during team entry.

Firearm & Knife Disarmament

SESSION SUMMARY:
The WARTAC firearm disarming system is based on a universal skill set that can be applied in a multitude of armed encounter scenarios. This system is streamlined and based on gross-motor skills. The same techniques work regardless of such variables as the direction of the threat, the type of firearm you face, the manner in which the firearm is held, or what part of your anatomy the firearm is pointed at.

The WARTAC knife defense system was designed to bridge the gap between unarmed knife defense and the use of your firearm against a suspect armed with an edged weapon. Unlike other systems that advocate grabbing the suspect’s knife arm and applying a joint manipulation/disarm, this system prepares you to nullify the attack by means of parrying and evasion, followed by either a takedown or by creating distance and re-assessing the situation with a drawn firearm.
